"Get your headphones out because Fine Zen, the debut beattape from Bantr, aka Brant Williams, one of Denver, CO’s premier underground musicians. Williams is the mastermind guitarist behind the improvisational beat band Manycolors, whose shows and singles all inhibit the chopped, dusty genius of producers like J Dilla and MF Doom.

As Bantr, Williams gets to wear his production hat and lean into his heroes’ form and aesthetic. His debut single “Fine Zen” is a pocket-sized beat tape that is dazzling and distorted in a late-night joyride kind of way.
